In the 24 hours since Bandaider Xioux launched the campaign, we've racked up over 1,400 votes putting us well on track to hit 10,000 votes within one week! And even though we only have a short clip from the song, fans have already connected with it in powerful and heartfelt ways. The song shows off Avril at her best: lyrics to restore faith in the faithless and show that you really aren't alone in this world, made alive by Avril's sweetly transcendent vocals that feature a delicate strength as only Avril can pull off. Music is at its best when it seems to make anything possible, and "Won't Let You Go" does exactly that. So you can see why so many Avril fans are dying to hear the full version of this song!!! However, it's a whole lot of fun if you like music and singing! We're launching our very own user's chart! Yes that's right!  According to Last.FM's latest press release, Avril Lavigne is the 5th most listened to female artist of all time on the popular music scrobbling site! Avril has racked up over 50,000,000 plays on Last.FM which puts her ahead of Rihanna, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, and Kelly Clarkson! Top spot on the list went to Lady Gaga with 80,000,000+ plays... but I'm sure we could change that with a little Bandaids promo campaign!  Avril Lavigne ran into her Fast Food Nation co-star Wilmer Valderrama in NYC yesterday and what followed was a storm of tweets! First off, they stopped in at Prime Ko - a kosher sushi restaurant - for dinner with some friends. Then Avril and her Friend tadao310 Took a Carriage Ride through NYC.  Who says Twitter is useless? In the early hours of today Wilder Valderrama tweeted "GREAT surprise!! Your album is going 2 destroy!! SO proud RT @AvrilLavigne." I guess when Avril said she was experimenting, she didn't just mean with new album sounds...Do you think this means Avril has finished the album and is showing it to a few friends? Do you think she's still in the process but is giving out sneak peaks? Do you think we'll hear something soon?? Canadian news agencies are reporting that a terrorist suspect arrested by the RCMP today also made a name for himself by singing Complicated by "April Lavigne" [SIC] during the audition rounds of Canadian Idol. Since his brief time on Idol, Khuram Sher has been busy building bombs with pals in Ottawa. Not good. What can I say - it appears some Avril fans have been handling the wait for new music worse than others. Also, this sounds eerily like the plot to the movie American Dreamz... Pharrell makes up half of the Neptunes production team, has won 3 Grammy awards, and is the lead singer of N.E.R.D. Pharrell says that Avril is looking at trying different things on their collaboration and we're sure he's going to bring a totally new sound to Avril's album!  Avril Lavigne's current studio buddy Alex Da Kid has built a name for himself producing hip-hop songs for Eminem, Rihanna, and others. So we're sure a number of fans were surprised when they heard he would be working with Avril! But rest assured - as we heard from the Snippet of the Song they Shared with Us - Avril is not looking to make a switch into hip-hop! Alex Da Kid confirmed this in a recent interview with MTV News in which he said, "I'm working on a lot of rock projects at the moment. ... I don't really box myself in. I wanna be like a new version of Quincy Jones, where I can bounce around in different genres and still be credible and still make it work." Sounds good to us!
